Do you think it was true that the LA Lakers were isted in their win in 02 in view of Donaghy confession?

The crooked ref Tim Donghy confessed of more wrongdoing in addition to what has come out. He said that the refs blew whistles to help the Lakers win the Championship and steered the series into more profitability and favoritism. Can we still trust the NBA now? L.A. has always been their little favorite baby...evidently the complaints all these years were true...when can we trust the evident return to respectability or can we ever ?
