Does this seem selfish or conceited or anything along those lines?

I'm in the 10th grade. My elective is theatre. I didn't pick it, it was chosen for me. I guess I always kinda would of liked to act but it never really showed. Anyway, my theatre teacher told me I was a very good actor. He kept insisting I go for the school play. Eventually, I did. I'm now in Hairspray lol. A couple days ago, I preformed again in my theatre cl and got tons of great feedback from my teacher and fellow clmates. I played Juliets father in Romeo and Juliet. My group did the act after romeo is banished and Im forcing Juliet to marry Paris. Lol, so like I said I got a lot of great feedback. Anyway, my role in Hairspray is Iq. I have 2 lines in the play. Those lines are "Iq" and "Iq". I'm one of the corny Collins kids and I do a lot of singing along with the 10 other corny Collins kids. There is a lot of dancing involved and I can't dance lol, but that's my part. Now here's my question, is it wrong to complain to my theatre teacher about my role. I joined cuz I wanted to act. If I'm not acting, it's a huge waste of time cuz rehersal is everyday from 4-7 and soon 3:30-7 and then 3:30-10:30 until April! Should I ask my theatre teacher to talk to the guy in charge of the play. I really wanna play Edna but the audition was just singing. I know I didn't do that great but I have till April to get the singing perfect. I really wanna play Edna and I think if I stay Iq, I might end up dropping the play. Please, leave comments and tell me what I should do. And thank you so much for reading this long thing lol.
