What gender of a kitten is best?

I'm most likely getting a kitten around Christmas time, and i was just wondering if i should get a girl or a boy. I have an older girl cat but i got her 8 years ago. Anyway, i just wanted to know what you all think is the best gender to get so i know what gender to tell my friend to save me when her cat has her babies! thank yaaa(:
